Chimney Liners & Relining

Plan the inside of your chimney with the same care as the outside, using a liner selected for the appliance it serves.

A chimney can look sound from the yard while its flue needs attention. Golden Master provides chimney liner services and can discuss relining needs when there is an existing condition concern or a change to a connected appliance.

A liner should fit the whole system

01

Start with the appliance details

Tell us what the flue serves, including the make and model when available. A fireplace, furnace and water heater can have different venting requirements. The proposed liner needs to be considered alongside the appliance instructions, chimney configuration and existing connections.

02

Define the existing condition

Inspection findings help establish why relining is being considered and whether other work is necessary. A liner proposal should identify the material and sizing approach, the installation access and any associated top termination or connection work.

03

Clarify the complete scope

Ask whether the estimate includes preparation, removal of unsuitable existing material if required, insulation where specified, connections and finishing details. Product requirements vary, so these items should be confirmed for the selected system rather than assumed from a general description.

Before you book

Have the appliance information, any inspection report and details of a planned replacement ready when you contact us. If another contractor is replacing heating equipment, share that plan so the proposed chimney work can be coordinated. Do not order a liner solely from an estimated chimney height or diameter.

Common questions

Does relining mean rebuilding the chimney?

Not necessarily. The liner and exterior masonry are different parts of the system. The assessment should identify whether relining, masonry repairs or both are needed.

Can one liner serve any appliance?

No. Compatibility, sizing and installation details depend on the connected equipment and the listed system. These must be established for the specific application.

Can you work on furnace or water-heater flues?

Golden Master handles chimney liner and flue connection work. Share the equipment details before booking so the appropriate scope can be confirmed.
